Profile
I am a third year undergraduate student at the University of Toronto, specializing in mathematics and minoring in philosophy and economics. I am also a teaching assistant for first year algebra courses. My academic interests lie in game theory, logic, and the philosophical foundations of mathematics.
I enjoy analytical problem solving, mathematical reasoning (i.e. proofs), and the communication of abstract ideas, including teaching and writing. For problem solving, I enjoy the process of breaking difficult problems into smaller pieces, identifying patterns, and building elegant, precise models to analyze structures or optimize decision-making.
For mathematical reasoning, teaching, and writing, I enjoy the process of constructing arguments and answering layers of questions of “why.” I see those as closely connected activities as they all require careful organization of ideas and clear step-by-step thinking. I find these tasks deeply satisfying because they resonate with my naturally careful and detail-oriented style of thinking and communicating.
In my free time, I love watching movies and solving jigsaw puzzles. I also like reading, calligraphy, sudoku, chess, and badminton.
